Bagan
|
Minanthu is almost alone in the Bagan valley. Days are sunny and dry. Leafy crops grow in sandy fields as far as the eye can see. Above the flat floor of the valley, tiny peaks of brick temples rise less than 20 meters, but are the highest things standing. A quick climb to the top of one lets you see a day's journey in all directions. They are roughly 900 years old. Most temples see no-one in a day. The sun beats down always. |
